BENEFITS OF PEEK-OPTIMA™ HA Enhanced
PEEK-OPTIMA HA Enhanced is a material enhancement in spinal device technology. Hydroxyapatite (HA), a well-known osteoconductive material, is fully integrated, not coated, within the PEEK-OPTIMATM matrix, making it available on all surfaces of a device.
Osteoconductive Surface
Fully integrated with hydroxyapatite, on all surfaces, for earlier bone ongrowth and greater new bone formation.1,2
Modulus Similar to Bone
With a modulus close to bone3, PEEK-OPTIMA HA Enhanced reduces stress shielding at a higher rate than titanium.4
Artifact-Free
Imaging
PEEK-OPTIMA HA Enhanced is radiolucent providing unobstructed views for X-ray, CT and MRI imaging techniques
