PEEK Biomaterials in Trauma, Orthopedic and Spinal Implants
Steven M. Kurtz, John N. Devine. Since the 1980s, polyaryletherketones such as PEEK polymers have been increasingly employed as biomaterials for trauma, orthopedic, and spinal implants. The authors of this paper have synthesized the extensive PEEK polymer science literature as it relates to structure, mechanical properties, and chemical resistance.
